Once again I have to give it up for my crew who performed with me at the ‘Flava Native Noise’ Waitangi Day festival in Auckland last week. My dancers and band rocked it out….love you guys!!! Man it was so much fun…the audience was awesome!! Had to fly straight after the performance to Palmerston North, so unfortunately I couldn’t stay and hang too long…but I have to say that Flava and the Native Noise volunteers did a fantastic job with the organisation of the festival !!! Thank you Manchoo, thank you Josh !
In Palmy, my second Waitangi Day show at The Manawatu Day Festival was last-minute cancelled because of the rain (… I heard they tried to build the stage but because the ground was so soft it sunk way into the ground, yikes lol) …. Would have loved to perform for all my hometown brothers and sisters ! Oh well, at least I was able to share some music and tour stories on The Current Affairs Show on Tararua TV , they caught me coming off the plane and we spent the afternoon taping a 30 minute segment, to air between 15 Feb – 19 Feb.
So on the show front, it’s on to Hawkes Bay to share the stage with Frankie Stevens at the “Maori Motown” music festival … woohoo, bring it on Napier! … but more on this next time…
