Lest We Forget

Well after a bit of a hiatus I figured it was about time that I reconnected with all my website friends out there. So a big kiwi “Kia Ora” to you all from me.

The last couple of months have been exciting, busy and challenging, never a dull day! From festivals to private and public shows all around the North Island.

Living in this beautiful part of NZ has meant that I also now have a regular travel schedule to Wellington for business and to catch up with friends and family.

My last visit to Wellington coincided with our ANZAC day celebrations and I was asked to perform at a dawn service in my old home town of Upper Hutt. I enlisted the services of my Prime Music Academy “Pitch Perfect” group and we hit the stage at 6am to perform the NZ and Australian National Anthem’s. We also performed a couple of other numbers for the 3000 plus crowd that braved the chilly morning to pay their respects to our fallen servicemen. This is always a very emotional morning and one that I am always proud to be a part of.

One of the more relaxing things in my visits is catching up with my friend and Manager Mr G, we always seem to find exciting and new places to eat and socialise which makes for some very interesting dining experiences. This time it was off to breakfast and the best pancake’s I have had since my time in New York.

Upcoming event’s for the winter month’s start with the Mercury Music Festival on the 3rd to the 5th of June. I will be performing with some incredible artists and it promises to be an event not to be missed. The festival is all about bringing a world of talent back to the bay and it includes artists from a mix of genres.

Well that’s about it for now, for those of you like us in NZ that are heading into winter months stay warm and safe and those of you that are basking in the summer sun well we will try not to be envious.

Love to you all,

Anita xx
