Well winter has truly set in now over the last few weeks and living on the coast of our beautiful country has meant we have experienced some pretty diverse types of weather. But like most people we wrap up warmly and enjoy what nature gives us.
My last month or so has been spent travelling to Wellington for business and a trip to Auckland for band rehearsals for the mid winter “Mercury Bay Music Festival”.
The festival itself was a great success running over two days and into the night. I performed four shows at the festival and cannot say enough about the artists I performed with. It was an amazing group of people that put on a fabulous show and I’m sure everyone that attended went away very happy.
I’m looking forward to catching up with my New York based producer Ron Thaler when he comes over next month. It’s been awhile since we saw each other in person so it will be great to see him and maybe do some planning for that next album of mine.
So it has been a relatively quite and relaxing winter to date, but with summer concerts and more trips to Wellington and Auckland I am looking forward to a busy couple of months.
Until the next dear diary take care stay warm (NZ cuzzies) and share some love, the world needs lots of it right now… in view of the recent events of wars, injustices and racism, I put together an a cappella version of “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace.” I hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjU3VSzQL3g&feature=youtu.be
