I Love Vacations!

Here we are in the second month of 2015. I hope that like me, you had an amazing time over the Christmas and New Year period.

I decided late last year that I was going to take a big break from everything and concentrate on one of the most important things in life and that’s family and relaxing and leaving the daily stress behind.

Having just purchased a new car I packed it up and headed north a week before Christmas, caught up with some old friends in my old home town then headed north to my parents new home in the beautiful Whitianga. This part of the country never ceases to amaze me with its tranquillity and outstanding beauty.

I spent two weeks there walking on the beach relaxing and reflecting on the very busy year that had just gone and what the next will bring.

So once we had celebrated the New Year I once again packed up the car and headed north again to visit another old friend in Kaeo. This was an amazing drive as the scenery is incredible. Once again catching up with friends and reminiscing about times gone by is a great way to relax. One interesting day after driving with my friend on 90 mile beach to get to Cape Reinga (the top of New Zealand) my friend’s truck broke down. Had to hitch hike back to town, had lots of laughs and fun on the way so it was all worth it!

Sadly though after 5 days it was time to head back south, so once again I loaded up the car and headed down to Palmerston North to perform at a music festival. This was great opportunity for me to perform with some dear friends and some very talented musicians and to connect with some wonderful people.

Once home I slowly started getting back into work, first up was a visit to the Hutt City radio with one of my students, great to catch up with Mike Dee and the team again. Then it was catch up with my friend and manager Mr G. who I hadn’t seen for 5 weeks and time to plan for an exciting 2015.

So all in all I have had a fantastic break and I am so looking forward to what this year will bring. I hope that all of you also had a relaxing and enjoyable break and that this year brings you all the happiness and success you wish and work for.

Take care and God Bless,

Anita xx
